Plastisol Specialist

Job Summary:

The Plastisol Specialist in Phifer Fayette is responsible for consistently mixing compounds to specifications producing a plastisol coating for usage in fiberglass coating operations. The Plastisol Specialist is also responsible for maintaining min/maxs of raw materials and finished plastisol, receiving raw materials, maintaining inventories of raw materials and finished plastisols, entering SAP transactions, annual and semi-annual inventories and filling-in for the Plastisol Compounder as needed.

Essential Functions:

  1. Will complete task relating to inventory and planning, including but not limited to unloading raw materials, inspecting materials, weighing materials, and documenting transactions.
  2. Will preform plastisol compounding duties, including but not limited to mixing operations, viscosity tests, and machine maintenance.
  3. Will uphold quality standards for all incoming materials and finished products relating to the Plastisol Specialist position

Education and Experience:

  1. Prefer high school diploma or GED
  2. Assessed on the TABE in reading and mathematics at an 8th grade equivalency or higher or have a silver national career readiness certificate
  3. Prefer 12 months previous work experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment with a knowledge of mixing operations
  4. Prefer 12 months experience in yarn coating operations as a lead helper or materials coordinator
