Yarn Coating Doffer

Job Summary: The Yarn Coating Doffer position in F4 is required to run part of a production line in yarn coating consisting of all tasks related to the doffing of coated fiberglass packages and the staging of completed yarn pallets. This position also includes performing quality inspections and the documentation of actions performed in the preparation of the staged yarn packages. Management may assign additional duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

1. Will conduct an initial and continuous quality walk through of work areas and perform hour-by-hour duties determined by reading and performing written instructions.
2. Will start packages using start up procedures by reading and performing written instructions.
3. Will remove packages of coated yarn from winders and label the inside of cores by reading and performing written instructions.
4. Will cut away excess coated yard and re-start winder line by reading and performing written instructions.
5. Will document production, cause of reject yarn and print labels as needed by reading and performing written instructions.
6. Will conduct quality inspection of yarn visually and with physical touch by reading and performing written instructions.
7. Will maintain winders, equipment and perform end-of-shift duties as documented.

Acceptable Training and Experience:

1. Prefer high school diploma or GED
2. Prefer 6 months previous work experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
3. Prefer knowledge of yarn coating operations
